Christmas is officially in full swing here at the Villella household. We got the house decorated (mostly) and our Christmas shopping done (for the most part). The present wrapping will commence in a few days (I hope), which will helps us avoid wrapping presents on Christmas Eve, technically Christmas Morning, at 1 am (I pray).
If you are human than you know what I am saying - things don't always go exactly as we plan. Schedules get busy, we get tired and a general dose of life happens. However, there is one thing that I never skip out on during the Christmas season - no matter how busy we get or how late I get to it. We always, always, always send out a Christmas card.
As I mentioned in my post: Christmas Tradition - Part I, every year on Black Friday, I take our Christmas card photo. It's a great opportunity to get some adorable photos of my boys and then I get to turn around and share them with our family and friends.
Another fabulous thing about sending out Christmas cards and letting your loved ones know you are thinking about them is all the awesome mail you receive in return. I mean real mail. Not electronic. Physical pieces of paper, put in that box at the end of your driveway, by that nice guy or gal. Who doesn't love getting 2 or 3 (or more) Christmas cards in the mail everyday, as opposed to junk mail and bills?
So, if life has happened and you are thinking about skipping the whole Christmas card thing this year... don't! Get out your selfie stick and snap a picture of you and your spouse and kids or just the kids, or just the dog. Hit up one of the many online cards companies and create away. If that sounds too time consuming, just head over to Target and pick up a pack of pre-made cards, sign them and stick them in the mail. I can guarantee that what you receive in return will be so worth the effort!
