We change as we move through life. Some experiences have positive affects on us, some, not so much. The people we meet and the places we go, all have an impact on who we become. I am no different. However, there is one thing that has always had a spot in my heart, for as far back as I can remember - animals.
I am a diehard animal lover. I remember going to the mall as a child and begging my mom to take me to the pet store. I had a love-hate relationship with the pet store. I loved to see all the animals and I got so attached to each one, in the minutes we were there. I hated that I had to leave them all. "We already have a dog", my mom would say, but I was just so heartbroken knowing that I couldn't be the one to give them a forever home. They all looked so sad.
I cried though the movie Hidalgo. If you have never seen it, it has Viggo Mortensen in it, so it's a win right off the bat. It's about a cowboy and his horse, Hidalgo, who travel to Arabia to compete in a deadly horse race. No, the horse does not die, but you would think he did the way I sobbed through most of it. And after? It took me a good 15 minutes after the movie ended to pull myself together.
Marley and Me... I can't even talk about it.
Breaking Bad series - I didn't shed a tear (admittedly, I only got through 3 episode. Too depressing).
There is just something about animals that's got me and that's one thing that will never change.
How about you? What's something about you that will never change?
