So, you are getting married. You have found THE dress, picked your photographer, your flowers, and the venue. You have made it to your big day... now what?
Well, before you take those exhilarating, life-changing steps down the isle, take some time to read through my previous "Tips for Brides" - if you need to catch up, here is the link to all of them:
OK, you are ready, but there is one last, very important thing that can make or break your wedding day. This tip is so important that you need to grab your guy and read this together.
"You have made it to your big day... now what?"
Tip 7 - STOP... and ENJOY your day! I don't mean just "enjoy" your day, but really enjoy it! Simple, right? Well, here's a warning - your day is going to fly by. Like, Mach 5 speed, fly by. One minute you will be chatting with your besties as you sip mimosas and get your hair and makeup done. The next minute you'll be running to your getaway car as you are being whisked away to honeymoon adventures as husband and wife.
Before John and my wedding someone gave us this great piece of advise that I am now going to pass on to you. Don't forget to take in as much of your day as possible. Just stop for a minute and absorb all the beauty and happiness. Look around at all the smiling faces. Look at each other. Enjoy all the hard work and thought that went into every detail of your wedding day. Try to remember the little things - who's on the dance floor with the crazy moves, what is your mom wearing, who is your dad talking to? Remember how you feel at that exact moment.
Then, smile. You won't understand how the day could have sped past you so quickly, or what you will possibly do with all your freed up time, but one thing is for sure - you two did it. Now, you can put all the planning, stress and late night worrying to rest. You hired an amazing photographer who is there to capture all the details you can't possibly remember. Now, here comes the true adventure...Marriage.
