Emma & John's Waldenwoods Nuptuals

The DJ began the music as the wedding party made their grand entrance.  Emma and John entered the reception just as “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen began to play, which was accompanied by cheering guest and smiling faces.  They made their way to the center of the room, where their wedding cake was displayed.  The wedding cake that Emma made herself, and carefully decorated with flowers just a few short hours prior! The room, the cake and the bride and groom were all picture perfect.  Something straight out of a bridal magazine. Then came the toasts....

Friend, followed by family member, followed by friend.  One by one their closest people treated the wedding guest to fantastic heart-felt and often funny stories about Emma and John.  There wasn’t a single person in attendance without a smile on their face or a tear in their eye. Then came Emma’s Dad, Nick.

Nick rose from his table and walked over to the mic. This was a significant moment in his life, as he was about to give a toast to his one of only two daughters and his new son-in-law.  He began his speech with a preface to how the night would play out (like any good and protective father would).  Anyone caught drinking and stumbling out of here with car keys in hand, will have said car keys confiscated immediately.  Any attempts to get the bride and groom to kiss by clinking their glasses will be ignored.  He went on.  If you want the bride and groom to kiss, your table must sing together a verse from a love song.  No exceptions. He went on to give his love and support to the newlyweds.

Moments after the toasts were all wrapped up, Nick’s table was the first to break out in song. Love song to be exact - further showing his love and sense of humor. The remainder of the night was filled with tracks the DJ spun, dappled with loves songs from various tables. It was perfect.

Emma and John, Greg and I are so thankful that we had the honor of photographing your wedding.  The way we all came together was serendipitous and we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to step in and photograph!  You two are beautiful inside, outside and together!  Congratulations and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together!

Cheers,

Lisa
